Commissioned work for Claparo-Sans
Watercolours, watercolour pencils, lanaquarelle 300gsm hot pressed paper. A5 size.

I can call it my first finished work at hot pressed paper. I like how its texture looks at the scan. It's a really interesting experience for me. The problem is to buy this paper here. It looks lke this paper isn't popular in my town and there's no any of hot press paper at art-stores.
Well... I'm failed with making this portrait looking alike with the preson I needed to draw (  But it's also my first experience with attempt to draw an Asian-like face orz I won't tell you how many versions was ruined before this one.

Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, ohmygosh ohmygosh woooooowww, this is gorgeous!!!!  I know your standards for yourself are super-super high, but I really hope that you like this piece because I think it's amazing!!  The shading is so incredibly soft and shows the form so well and the eyes are so warm, aaaahhhh this is gorgeous!!!  Hot press paper is so expensive though hahahaha, I've always been too intimidated to use any~ XD

Мне кажется, такой тип бумаги хорошо подходит для текстуры кожи - натурально смотрится. Рисунок понравился в целом, а из деталей - волосы особенно.

This looks really nice! :D And the colours do make the portrait seem asian, but the thing is that if you'd change the shape of the face (next time), like by the eyebrows, (into a more rounder look) and make the nose more round, it would probably seem more accurate. :) I hope this helps!
