I've recently been able to read Clover, and Ran soon became one of my favourite characters. Seeing him portrayed by your wonderful watercolour technique has been a great way to start my day today. I love everything about this drawing, from the delicate shades in his hair to the smokey background, soft colours and pleasant atmosphere it all has. Oh, and the small piece of the clover tattoo showing in his back is just another great detail.
Also, this is great. The colours and shades integrate and create striking contrasts but the shades of various colours are that diverse that it's just easy to become taken in by the tremendous detail of the t-shirt or the hair. The angle at how we see the person is also different. It's more about the action of the person that just how they look and that's a very refeshing thing to see.
Finally have some time to write you a comment! I wanted to tell you that I really love the color combination in this one, but above all the expression. He really looks calm and satisfied, enjoying his tea (or coffee...? ), as if he's enjoying the smell and all. Your pictures always have such vivid feeling and emotion, that's one thing I really love the most about them, aside from the fact that they are always technically perfect and your style is so beautiful.
you have such a pretty way of water-coloring. if there was ever a painting method i enjoyed the most its certainly watercolor cause there are so many different ways to use it. I am quite curious about your method of painting. o3o
